Inside the Operations: Stories of Ownership and Grit

It’s easy to talk about growth; it's harder to build it. This month, we focused on two stories that didn’t rely on titles or spotlight moments but on quiet decisions, fast thinking, and daily showing up for the job.

Where Ownership Begins Early

There’s something about people who don’t wait for permission to do the right thing. When Sachin Dhanawade joined KGC in 2016 as a Jr. Executive, he brought that mindset. Within a year, he was promoted—not just for ticking boxes, but for how he handled people and processes.

By 2018, he was managing large-scale operations. Today, as Sr. Manager – Operations Planning, he’s shaping how KGC runs existing and new projects. Whether initiating Circular Logistics using scrap wood, stepping up during the uncertainty of COVID, or mentoring junior staff who now lead teams, Sachin made an impact not through noise but through trust.

His secret? “You get the space to think and make decisions. That’s how we stay ahead.”

Learning by Doing, Leading by Example

Sadashiv Abane’s growth didn’t come with fast promotions or big announcements. It came through consistency. Starting as an operator in 2018, he learned by doing—line by line, task by task. Within three years, he was leading a 20-member team.

Now, as a Supervisor running warehouse operations end-to-end, he brings more than just experience. He brings adaptability. When a client scaled their warehouse 10x in weeks, Sadashiv made sure the backend scaled with it, without disruption.

His belief? “When systems are clear, people can perform. And here, the learning never stops.”

What Grows at KGC

We often speak about scale, but the real foundation is people like Sachin and Sadashiv—those who know when to lead, when to listen, and when to step up without being asked.
At KGC, this isn’t the exception. It’s how we’re built.

Real growth happens behind the scenes.
